KITTENS!!!

Our cat Ella just had babies last night. I got home from grocery shopping and heard some weird sounds. I looked around and found a baby with the placenta still attached to it and then found the rest. She's a pretty young cat and this would be her first litter so she didn't have any clue what to do and pretty much left them. Since they were earlier than I thought they would be I was not prepared. So I had to look online really quick to make sure my instincts were correct and got to cutting the umbilical cords on the kittens and getting them cleaned and warm. Ella then had another kitten about 2 1/2 hours later and it wasn't breathing as strong as the other kittens so I was worried but it seems to be doing great now. Ella is now taking care of them I think her mommy instinct kicked in finally. I will post some pictures as soon as I get some good ones. We weren't planning on having any kittens either, in fact we had both our cats scheduled to get fixed and had to cancel Ella's appointment when I noticed her changing nipples. I really didn't think that she was old enough to have babies, but they are here now and we will love them. I love babies!
