SAD!

I found out yesterday that my Aunt Peggy has passed away.

I will never forget you Aunt Peggy! I will always cherish the memories I have of my time with you. I love you!

I am so sorry. I remember Aunt Peggy, and I always loved seeing her and your grandparents. I have some wonderful memories of being at their house when I was a little girl. I am beginning to understand some of the sadness of growing older - those that we love and cherish are growing older as well. This has been a hard year of deaths. Even harder, though, is the reality that losing those we love so dearly is now a part of our life as we continue to get older.

The night before last I had a dream that you blogged almost the exact same words that you actually did blog. Weird. I will miss her too. She was a great lady.

Cathy, I agree with you. I started thinking how more and more people we know are dying and then my child part of my brain realized that of course that is happening, because as we age, the people who are older than us age at the same rate, not a slower rate as we would wish, so that we can savor them longer. It is such a sad part of growing older. Losing our loved one hurts.

Death and the tragedy like we're seeing in the Gulf area really does make you stop and reevaluate things. Things that seemed so major yesterday appear so trivial today. I wish I would remember this those days that I just want to pull my hair out and either be grateful that I have hair to pull out or remember how blessed I am to have these precious gifts around to make me want to pull my hair out. Then there are the times you think you should call/write/visit with someone, but you really can't see how you can squeeze one more thing into your day - then they aren't there anymore. You can see that the recent family deaths and losses are weighing heavily on my heart and causing me to do lots of thinking. Putting it all into practice will be the real test. :) I do love all of you, no matter the distance between us!!!
