I thought that I would write down a little of the crap that has happened while I wait for Pat to pick me up from work. Pat has to go to yet another orthopedic surgeon for more "proof" for the insurance company. Of course the surgeon was picked by the insurance company so you know which way that is going to go. So I believe that we need to pick another orthopedic surgeon that is not being paid by the insurance company to give an honest opinion. We will of course have to pay this out of pocket. The orthopedic surgeon that the insurance company picked doesn't have an open appt. until November either, now wouldn't you think the reasonable thing would be to find one that has an appt. sooner? Well I sure do, but then it wouldn't be one that the insurance company has in their pockets would it? We now have a pre trial date in January because there is not one sooner. Why are we having to go to court?? It is because the insurance company is so greedy that they won't even give us the settlement amount that we pay for in our policy. Now I have been with this company for 10 years, and I have only had to use the "benefits" when I got hit by Pat's brother. Wouldn't ya think that if we just wanted money for no reason that I would have come up with something sooner?? So now I have to figure out how I'm going to continue paying all the bills and the mortgage off of my pay only until sometime after January. I will have to work a lot of overtime. On top of that our car is back in the shop! I am beginning to think it will never be fixed correctly! Oh what to do! I feel like I'm going crazy!
