FINALLY ANOTHER POST
Pat and I went to his Orthopedic Surgeon's appointment a couple of months ago to discuss all of the things to do with his surgery on his neck/back. While we were there we had to pick a date for the surgery. We of course had to pick a date that didn't conflict with too many other things. Pat will be going in for his surgery on May 22nd. I am going to have to take off work to take care of Pat and the kids. To do this I obviously have to take time off of work. I don't have any PTO saved up so lately I have been working pretty much 7 days a week. This pay period that just passed I worked 158 hours instead of the normal 80 hours. And boy am I tired. I have also been doing a lot of baking at the request of my co-workers who think that I am a baking goddess. Hahaha It's kind of funny because they prefer my baked goods to those of another co-worker who bakes as a side job and she' s getting ready to open her own bakery in a few months. I will hopefully be updating everyone more often. I am going to try to add pictures soon that I have been trying to post for awhile now.

Wow! That's a lot of working. How do you find the time for baking?
I do it at night when I'm making dinner and between putting the kids to bed. I go to bed really late most the time since I don't sleep really well and I sometimes end up baking until 11:30pm.
I love to bake too. Problem is I don't have anyone to give it to anymore, so we end up eating all of it, so I have really cut down on baking in the past couple of years.
You have been a real trooper, kid! I am proud of you guys for the way you have been handling this whole situation! You both have let it strengthen you instead of it tearing you apart like a good number of people do! I know it has been very hard, but you both will pull thru it. Just remember you have people to help you along the way. You know Mike and I will always be there to help with what we can! Mom
