Pat is doing well and should be able to go back to work here shortly. At least that's what I believe, we'll have to see what the doctor says. The kids are doing great, they are both growing like weeds. I feel really old now because my baby boy is getting ready to turn 7. That's right 7!!
On another note, I had to go to the lovely GYN which of course I kept delaying until Mom and Pat made me go. So my doctor had me go get blood work done and scheduled me for an ultrasound. The lady who did the ultrasound this time was the same one that did it when I was pregnant with Cheyanne. I know how she normally acts when doing it and she was completely quiet during this one, so I knew deep down that she saw something. She was doing the regular ultrasound and when she got to my uterus she told me I had a tilted uterus so she would also have to do a vaginal ultrasound, that was fun. So I had my appointment with the doctor to get the results on both the blood work and the ultrasound on Monday and by how nice the normally bitchy nurse was acting I knew they found something. The doctor comes in and kind of sighs and leans up against the wall and started telling me. He is really a sweet doctor and you can tell he just hates having to tell people stuff. He told me that the ultrasound showed that I have Adenomyosis(endometriosis but inside the uterus) and that I possibly have Endometriosis also. So we have to schedule a laparoscopy and a hysteroscopy to find out more and what stage it's at. This will be done towards the end of September so that Mom is back from the trip and can help with all of it. After that is done we will see what course to take. Oh the joys of being a woman.

And believe me, she didn't want to go. Sometimes, no matter how old your children are, you still have to pull rank on them and say "You are going anyway".lol I am go glad you went though, because now you are on your way to finding out how to get to feeling better. I will be there with you thru it all. I have always wondered if endometriosis is genetic, and Laura and I found out from her dr that it is. Sorry, Laura!!! Mom
I'm also glad that you went in so that you can get treated sooner than later. I hope that it is in an early stage. I will pray for your next appointment to go well.
Yes, endo is genetic. Last summer, I was told that I really need to go in for a hysterectomy as my endo is getting so severe. Actually, our Dr (and we love him) said that it was probably a combo of the endo on top of four cesareans (with the two emergency ones leaving lots of scar tissue which tends to then aggravate the endo). I know I'll feel better when I get the surgery, but it's taken me a year of praying to finally feel OK with it. So, I'm so sorry to hear you dealing with the same possible situation. Now, to get John's new insurance up and running and schedule the surgery. I actually have a pre-op appt for October 11th, so we'll see then. Keep us updated on how your appt goes........or we'll sic your mom on you. lol
Well, I'm glad you are still alive! And, I'm glad you got checked. Earlier is ALWAYS better. Amazing things are being discovered and helped every day!! And, my prayers and thoughts will be with you throughout. And, with you, Cathy! I'm glad I don't have to worry about having passed any of these issues on to my progeny (at least not yet).
Aunt K
Thank you all for the prayers. I will try to keep you all updated.
I do hate to think that I may have passed this on to the girls for sure (who knows about the boys' daughters??). I know that I don't want either one of my maidens to go through what I've gone through, and yet, I'd gladly go through all of it again to get each one of them. Funny how we don't mind the suffering, and we can see growth in ourselves because of it. However, we dread the thought of our children doing the same. I often wonder how they might grow if they go through the same thing. If it makes them better women, then I do want them to suffer as I have ---- NOT!!! We mothers are a peculiar bunch. lol
not much to say kido but i am sure you will get thrue this just fine
Mike, you need a different picture. That frog doesn't look anything like you.......or are you trying to say something like, "kiss the frog, and he'll turn into a prince?" :):)
I'm assuming that even now you are still alive, but am wondering based on the frequency of your posts. (Just kidding I know you are alive from your emails!) Even busy, busy people can find a moment to post an update every now and then. Take me for instance, in between my bon-bon consumption and my Tivo'd episodes of Supernanny, Wife Swap and Survivor, I find a moment to pop onto the computer and let you all know how we are. Oops, gotta go, the commercial break is almost over.
